Ho Tung bought the property in 1917. Then surrendered it to the Crown.

I've:

made this the page for the 1st generation, and moved over the photos from the other 1st generation page that was created by @Herostratus
deleted the images from the top of the page that no longer work
set the condition to demolished, and added a demolition date of c. 1941 assuming it was severely damaged in WW2
moved any comments on this page about the 2nd generation over to that Place
