Kellett Crest stood upon RBL 46 which was put up for public auction on 24 April 1886, result unknown. The conditions of sale included a requirement to build within one year, but neither the RBL nor a building is marked in the appropriate position on the 1889 Peak Map. Possibilities are that the 1886 auction was unsuccessful, or successful but the requirement to build was ignored, or the 1889 map is inaccurate. First mention of Kellett Crest that I can find is in the 1898 Peak Directory, stating that a W. J. Saunders was the occupant. Construction must therefore have taken place at sometime between 1886 and 1898. I've chosen the mid-point, c.1892, for the approximate completion date.
Garden Lot 4, adjoining RBL 46 and nowhere near any other RBL, was put up for auction on 24th April 1899, result unknown.
From 1904 to 1924 Kellett Crest was No.66 The Peak, then became No.182 until at least the 1950s. Demolition date is unknown, but the site is now occupied by modern buildings.
