Gomes Villas comprised three houses (two semi-detached homes and one single house) located on 1-3 Chatham Road on a large lot, K. I. L. No. 882.

An early reference of Gomes Villas can be found in the Directory & Chronicle for China, Japan etc., for 1902 The Villas probably takes its name from Dr.  A. S. Gomes who resided at 3 Gomes Villas.
