The Hong Kong Daily Press of 12 December 1919, p. 5 gives a full account of Chan Kai Ming's career and some of his charitable donations which included large sums to the Hong Kong University, the Ellis Kadoorie School and even the gift of an aeroplane to the Hong Kong government.
