The current building (Everwin Mansion) was completed in 1962. Likely the one in the photo was one of those shop houses that could be seen in other older photos.
I had the marker too far east. After moving it over to the right location, between Landale and Li Chit Streets, I see that #10 was on the site of the current Man Hee Mansion. But Man Hee Mansion was also completed in 1965, so no big change.
Definite an old shophouse then. Modern day maps may not show Li Chit Street very clearly. That whole block used to be end to end with shop houses of various styles.
