The building was selected to be part of the Government's Revitalisation Scheme, and Caritas won the application to use the renovated building. The plans for the building are outlined at https://www.heritage.gov.hk/en/rhbtp/The_Pokfulam_Farm4.htm

Summary timeline:
- 1886: Dairy Farm established
- 1887: Old Dairy Senior Staff Quarters (SSQ) was built as residence for the farm manager, and known as Braemar
- 1950s: The building's pitched roof is replaced by a flat roof
- 1983: Dairy Farm closed the farm at Pokfulam
- 1987: The last residents move out from SSQ, and it is left empty
- 2013: SSQ is included in the 4th batch of buildings for the Government's Revitalisation Scheme
- 2014: Basic repairs and clearance of vegetation
- 2018: Renovation begins in Q4, with completion targeted for Q2 2020, and opening later that year.
