If I may add some information here. I believe this is the death notice published in Australia for Chung Mow Fung. I believe the family relocated from Deep Lead, at the Grampians in western Victoria Australia, a year or two before.
To add to the possible dates of birth, in the certificate of naturalisation he signed in 1868 he states he was "thirty five years of age", which would make his birth year c. 1833.

Thanks for the extra…
Thanks for the extra information.
I'd previously set his date of birth to 1846, based on the entry at: http://www.chia.chinesemuseum.com.au/biogs/CH00852b.htm
But the newspaper clipping above and his gravestone at https://victoriancollections.net.au/items/6052a342c9704ed38a6f798b both say he died in 1897 aged 76, so I've set the date of birth to c. 1821 instead.
That fits with his arrival…
That fits with his arrival as an adult in Australia for the 1850s gold rush.
