On 28th November 1939, item 633 in the Gazette announced "Tenders invited for New Teacher's Training College, Bonham Road, Hong Kong" and that "The work consists of the erection of a three storied building in reinforced concrete with basement to central portion, drainage, site work, and caretaker’s quarters."
1941
The new building was opened by the Governor, Sir Geoffry Northcote, on 23rd April 1941. It was reported on page 2 of the next day's edition of the Hong Kong Telegraph:
