Golden Gateway Multiplex was on the ground floor of The Gateway in Tsim Sha Tsui. It started operating on April 14, 1995. In 2011, one screen was removed reducing the total capacity to 610. The cinema was permanently closed on February 15, 2016 when the lease expired.

The cinema scene in Infernal Affairs was shot in Golden Gateway. The following scene in the movie was shot behind the building, in the lane between Gateway and China HK City.
The location now houses a large American restaurant.
