Shrine in Repulse Bay with Tin Hau and Kwun Yam statues.

Fairly young shrine, built in the 1970s.

Often referred to as "Tin Hau Temple" (e.g. on Google Maps). The building, which is labeled as "temple" on Google Maps, is in fact the back part of the HQ of the HK Life Guards.

I know this place is often described as a temple, but the ornate building behind is actually the HQ of the HK Life Guards.

Hi Phil. I was also hesitating to name this place Tin Hau Temple, but it is labeled so on some maps (e.g. Google Maps). Hong Kong Tourism Board names it Kwan Yum Shrine - would that be a better name?

Sorry Klaus, I missed your comment when you first posted it.

I think naming it as the Kwun Yam shrine is probably better (note: not Kwan Yum). It also goes by this name on English wikipedia. The chinese name is 鎮海樓公園.
