New feature: SSL / HTTPS security

You might have noticed a small change today:

Secure - https

Gwulo now uses ssl / https for all pages, which is why the green padlock appears in the web browser above. This is the type of secure connection that used to be just for online banking websites and other websites where money was involved, but is now becoming the standard for all websites.

It makes the process of submitting your password to Gwulo more secure, but otherwise it shouldn't have any effect on your visits to Gwulo.

If you do find anything isn't working, please let me know. The most likely side-effect is that some links would stop working and would need to be updated.

This change prevented the "1952 all" overlay from displaying properly on the maps. It is fixed now.
