I was hoping to see a jeweler bustling with sales. This is what i found instead. Upon calling the posted number, I spoke to Mr. Joseph Chan. He was puzzled by my call as he is in retirement and has little inventory left in his shop. His shop used to be located at number 30 Hankow Road - street level. It is not apparent to me that he knew the elder Mrs. Booth but he did know Martin Booth. According to Mr Chan, Martin Booth had sent him a signed copy of the Golden Boy and he recalled that Martin Booth seemed to have visited HK post 1997.

re: Hing Loon
Sophia, thanks for the update. I wonder if it was Mr Joseph Chan's father that ran the shop in the 1950s?
