Elliot Pumping Station and Filters were constructed near the site of the Elliot Battery. In early 1914, military authorities and the Hong Kong Government reached an agreement to clear the battery area, and by the end of that year, the new service reservoir and filter beds were already under construction. Additional work had to be conducted, it was finally finished in 1919.
