"Mrs. Brown" is mentioned several times in R E Jones' diary. There were several "Mrs Brown" in Stanley, so I'm not sure which one he is referring to.
UPDATE 21 Apr 2016: Philip Cracknell believes R E Jones is writing about Muriel Wilfred Brown. He writes:
I assume it is this Mrs Brown (but may be wrong as he does not mention initials or first name) but they were billeted pretty much next door as RE Jones was in A4/17 and the Browns were in Block A4 - Room 15. They seemed to be only occupants of that room which suggests may have been a small box room or something like but most people had to shaw with strangers - to have a room to yourselves was rare privacy.
