It looks as though there are several tunnel entrances on the south side of Mount Cameron, though they are all blocked up now.

I walked along there last Friday. If you want to follow the same route, start from Wanchai Gap, and walk along Middle Gap Road. Keep going until you reach a gate that stops vehicles from going any further. Walk around that and carry on until the road comes to a fork. Take the left, flat branch  (the right branch heads down hill). Keep walking and you'll find the paved road ends, and changes to a dirt path. You'll be at the point shown by the marker on the map above. The tunnel entrances are all along the next section, from here to where the path joins Black's Link.

First you'll pass four sites that are not so clearly defined now, but were very likely entrances. Here's the first. You can just make out a hole showing the top of the tunnel entrance, but it is filled with debris.

Next is one where the fresh earth shows the roof has recently collapsed - probably as a result of the very wet June we've had.

Then another collapse, but this must have happened some time ago as the plants are well established.

Then the last in this group, and again a more recent collapse.

Then I walked for a while without seeing anything, before passing this group of three entrances. They are much clearer than the previous set, but each one has been sealed up with stones and concrete.

If you've been inside these tunnels, or know of any others, we'd love to hear from you.
