"Stanley View" is mentioned in several of the wartime accounts. Our best guess for its location is near the junction of Repulse Bay Rd / Stanley Gap Rd / Chung Hom Kok Rd (see the discussion at http://gwulo.com/node/8442). If you were heading towards Stanley from Repulse Bay, it's where you'd get the first view of Stanley.
