I'm looking for photos / sketches / portraits of him for the CPS project's history book.
The newspaper report of his death (page 1, The Hong Kong Telegraph, 1936-12-24) gives an outline of his life:
- Worked in Hong Kong as a solicitor before WW1.
- Awarded OBE for war services, ending the war with rank of Major
- Active with the Volunteers in HK.
- Joined Hongkong Government service in 1920.
- Several posts, including Assistant Superintendent of Victoria Gaol, First Clerk at the Magistracy, Magistrate, acting Second Police Magistrate, acting Superintendent of Victoria Gaol.
- Left c.1930 to become chief of police at Shameen.
- Keen tennis player.
- Died in Leicester, UK.
