Dodwells Ridge Camp

Hi

I have just come back from Sheung Shu, Hong Kong.  We went with my father who served in the british army in 1960.  It was a very emotional journey for us as he left here 50 years ago. We were unable to establish exactly were Dodwells Ridge Camp was, after going back twice we belive that the hospital was built on it.  I would be very greatfull if anybody can provide me with anymore information or contacts who might of served at the same time.

Regards

Karen

Hi Phil

Many thanks, we thougt it was there on our first visit.  However on our second visit, after finding an elderely taxi driver he then took us to the hospital, my dad has photos of himself there and the background dose look similar.

Many thanks again

Karen

Hi Phil

That sounds fantastic.

Dads coming for sunday lunch this week.  I will ask him to bring his photos with him.  I know they are quite old now.  Should I scan them to send or have copies taken to send to you?

Many thanks

Karen

Hi Karen - it would be great to see them. This site attracts a lot of ex-servicemen so if your dad also wanted to provide some names then you never know who might see them.

If you have trouble uploading the snaps, then you can also send them to David - the site owner and admin - and he can do it for you: david@gwulo.com

Cheers

Phil
