I'll be giving a couple of talks in the next few weeks, and you're welcome to attend. The format is the same for each - I'll bring along my PC with a selection of scanned old photos, project them onto a big screen, and talk about the stories behind each photo.
Wednesday, 26 September
I'll be speaking to the OMRS (Orders and Medals Research Society):
The September meeting will be held on 26th September at the History Room of the Police Officers Club commencing at 8.00pm – meeting in the bar at 7.30pm. The History Room is on the 1/F behind the coffee shop.
Non-members are welcome, and there will be a nominal cover charge per head of about $20 or so.
No booking required, just turn up on the day for this one. Note that the content of the talk will be based on the talk I gave to the RAS last year. If you heard that, you probably won't want to attend this!
Friday, 2 November
I'll be speaking to the RAS (Royal Asiatic Society). I'll use a different set of photos from last year, so this will be a new talk.
The venue is the same as last year - the Centre for Visual Arts on Kennedy Road. It has a big screen and theatre-style seating, so it's a great venue for this type of talk. More details closer to the date.
If you're free to come along to either (or both!) of these events, it'll be good to see you.
Regards, David
