Of note, her mother (and presumably her younger sister Sheila too) was already evacuated to Australia so she was not at daughter's wedding. She was given away by her brother Thomas Sydney Douglas Whitley.

The bride was a former pupil of Central British School (later became the King George V School) and was a headmistress of Kowloon Junior School at the time of her wedding. I note Rev Upsdell officiated the ceremony who later gave his name to one of the four houses in KGV.  It's safe to say the other Whitley siblings probably attended the Central British School as well. The groom, Geraint George Davies, was Assistant Master at Diocesan Boys' School.
