There's a common belief that this building was disassembled brick-by-brick and then reassembled in Stanley like some huge 3D jigsaw puzzle. However this is not true. A concrete core was poured and then externally adorned with parts from the original building - i.e. balconies, bricks and columns. The internal supporting structure of the building is not original.
