Original title: Hong Kong Central, Wellington Street (from Wyndham Street). Taken by Comet Photo AG (Zürich). Dating 1967-1971.
Wellington Street looking west from the junction of Cochrane Street. The Man Kwok Restaurant (萬國飯店) at 112 Wellington Street was in business from the 1930s to the 1970s.
According to hkmaps.hk, 104-106 Wellington Street at the corner, where Tai Kwong Ming (大光明) mahjong school and Kim Hung Book Store (劍虹書齋) located, were under construction between 1967 and 1971. As a Facebook group claimed the mahjong school had already opened in the 1960s, this photo was likely taken in 1966 or early 1967.
