Original title: Hong Kong, Aberdeen. Taken by Comet Photo AG (Zürich). Dating 1967-1971.
This photo was taken from Tin Wan, looking southeast towards Aberdeen Harbour. Brick Hill (Nam Long Shan) is on the left, and Ap Lei Chau (Aberdeen Island) is on the right. Referring to hkmaps.hk, the pier next to Tai Wong Kung Temple (大王宮廟) on the far right of the photo was completed in 1969 or earlier. Apart from the Hung Shing Temple, most buildings around Main Street, Ap Lei Chau in sight have likely been rebuilt.
The floating restaurants in the harbour were the Tai Pak Floating Restaurant and the Sea Palace Floating Restaurant. Both relocated to Sham Wan at the end of 1978.
