This 2ft.- 6 in. (762 mm.) narrow gauge 0-4-4 tank locomotive was manufactured by Bagnall of UK in 1924 for the KCR Fanling – Sha Tau Kok branch line. At the time of photographing this engine in 1993 it was employed as no..18 for the Victorias Sugar Mill lines on Negros Island, Philippines. There were two identical engines (the other was no.17) and both were returned to Hong Kong in the late 1990’s. One is now preserved at the Hong Kong Railway Museum and the other was sent to Britain for preservation.
