Yau Ma Tei Police Station, built in 1922, this historic Neoclassical and Edwardian-style building, located at 627 Canton Road in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The station was closed on May 22, 2016, with operations moved to a new facility.
It is classified as a Grade II historic building in Hong Kong and is converted into a visitor center or other community use.
With its strong sense of nostalgia and authentic police station setting, it has been a filming location for many classic Hong Kong cop-and-criminal movies, such as "Infernal Affairs" and "Election," making it a sacred site for movie fans.

Started on January 1, 2026, the police station transformed into an exhibition - "Yau Ma Tei Police Station Light and Shadow Journey."
The exhibition recreated the police station scenes from the 70s and 80s, including the miscellaneous room, detention room, identification room, and armory, complemented by treasured movie props, making visitors feel as if they've stepped into the world of Hong Kong cinema.
I played there on every New Year's Day from 1969 to 1971 with a group of kids at the New Year's Day dinner reception held there at the station master residence inside the station.
I know the station was a pale brown(or was it very light grey?)/white colour in the 1970s, and later white/blue before the current grey/blue scheme, but just wasn't sure when.
