The location of the bend is NOT in tbe circule. It is a bit north of the marker of the Island Shantri-La Hotel instead. Please look for the C1 MTR exit.
A further hint. Harcourt Road had not changed much. Look for the bend of Harcourt Road and use that as a reference.
if you switch between any relevant map on hkmaps.hk and the current location of things, you can see the apex of the bend was located inside the current Pacific Place mall area.
Also, if you look at the 1976.3 aerial imagery, you can see the old bend still there after the road had been straightened. It looks like it was left that way well into the 1980s.
