Local Combined Camp for Boy Scouts near Lion Rock 1939

This article from 2 September 1939 shows images from the first Combined Scout camp in Hong Kong held in Kowloon. A large scale flag raising was mentioned in another article as well. The camp was held from Friday, 25 August 1939 and lasted 50 hours near the Kowloon Tong Reservoir between Beacon Hill and Lion Rock. An estimated 200-300 Scouts from across Hong Kong attended this event, led by Mr F H Chan, District Commissioner (presumably of the Kowloon District). Visitors were guided by Mrs Daisy Booker, Assistant Commissioner for Wolf Cubs and  Mr George Stainburn Wilby, Scoutmaster of the St John's Cathedral Scouts.
