I think one is looking east on Leighton (Hill) Road. Right centre is a triangular patch of ground that separates Leighton (Hill) Road and Wong Nai Chung Road (eastern side). Photo likely from the 1930s. Back in the day, trams to Happy Valley would enter Canal Road East from Hennessy Road, then make a left turn onto Leighton (Hill) Road before joining Wong Nai Chung Road. The section of single tram track joining Wong Nai Chung Road can be viewed on the right.
