Sign at the new building 45 Barker Road with the following text:

The Building is confirmed as Grade 2 Historic Building on 20 September 2010.

The original name of the house is Villa Blanca (White House) and the style of the house suggests it was built in the 1930s.

The Architectural style is Spanish. It is include (?) arched windows, ornamental ironwork, decorative "fish scale" pattern panels in the balcony balustrading and curved cantilevered balconies and canopies in Modernist style, the walls are painted in yellow ochre and the architectural features are picked out in white.

The style of architecture which has been adopted suggests a relaxed, informal style of living making the villa rather different from other pre-war houses on the Peak.

Partial facade of the original house was maintained at 1/F.

Remarks: The building is NOT open to public.
