This was one of the three known Gang Laus in Mui Wo. This one had mostly collapsed. What is in the photo is part of a wall, which is still standing. Zoom in and it is around the middle.
The other two Gang Laus are at Yuen's Mansion, and Luk Tei Tong Village.

Can confirm this is one of the 3 watchtowers
Always been able to see the watch tower as a kid on Butterfly Hill, but over the years it's been harder to spot from overgrowth and the declining state of the structure. Managed to visit it just once with a friend in early 2023 and there's definitely not much remaining. Only one corner of the tower appears to be standing, with much of it being rubble on the ground & the fallen main doorway.
