This is a flyer for the Historical Inscriptions Exhibitions, which was held from 8th March 1986 to 27th July 1986, and was curated by the Urban Council’s Hong Kong Museum of History. The flyer, in part, reads: Historical inscriptions of Hong Kong are invaluable evidential reference material for the study of local history. They are regarded as proper and correct historical records as they are official statements on public display, and are also records of a public nature that are of concern to local communities. It is hoped that the display will promote public awareness of the importance of these Chinese historical inscriptions for their better protection and preservation as our local cultural heritage.
