Dug a bit deeper and found a theatre performance (神功戲) had been scheduled from 7th October through 11th October, 2025. Preparation of it then.
The photos showed it is not ALL bamboo scaffolding after all. Ceder (杉木) or similar tree trunks with similar characteristics are also being used for locations that is to take up the weight of the structure itself.
