Uniformed Gentleman

This is another photograph showing the uniformed gentleman. This time outside a building. Any thoughts as to where. Is this the same building as in my previous post showing a member of the Hong Kong Volunteer Force and another person.?

The HKVDF would normally travel by train to a station close to their field exercise destination. Looks like a Kowloon-Canton Railway (KCR) train station shelter in the background. Both the man inside the shelter with his bag and the uniformed man with his luggage in the right foreground are likely waiting for the train to arrive to take them back to the city (Kowloon). Perhaps taken at Fanling train station.

By the way, have you posted the photograph showing a member of the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Force with another person and the same building ? Is this the photo that is being referred to ? Thanks.

This man looks familiar. I think he may be Richard Rathmell.

I agree this looks like people waiting at a station. I didn't spot any matches in the photos we have of Fanling station, but Andrew Suddaby's photo of the old Tai Po Market station shows a shelter with the same designs of columns and windows:

Note the octagonal windows of the train station shelter and white-colourd stones/bricks surrounding the shrubbery/trees. The photo may have a connection with the spur line to Sha Tau Kok. Train enthusiasts may wish to contribute.
