This 22nd February 1962 image of Hang Fung Shipping & Trading Company’s cargo vessel the s.s.Tung Feng docked at Vancouver was captured by Walter E. Frost, and is held in the City of Vancouver Archives. The Hang Fung livery, comprising two narrow silver hoops located high on a black funnel, is clearly visible. Just six months later, the Tung Feng was caught up in Hong Kong’s Typhoon Wanda and, by December, she had ended her shipping days, broken up for scrap to supply the Hong Kong steel re-rolling mills.
