Thanks for this great photo. I've replied to it already in a separate thread as didn't see this one initially. Yes, this is Cavendish Heights and that's my Dad, David Bottomley, at the back in the dark jumper and glasses, with his hands on his hips. I believe it's from the 1963 HK Electric Annual Boxing Day match. I have a picture somewhere of we kids on that viewing deck from 1964 which I'll try and post.
My dad worked for HK Electric from 1966 to 1981. This picture brings back outs of memory for me. Mr Bottomley , Mr John Peacock , and Mr S L Chan have been co workers with my dad for 15 years. We were the very last to move out from the 1st generation Cavendish Heights in July 1983.
I can get a very good glimpse at the lawn bowl from my bedroom on the 9th floor.
