Ethel Groce To Speak At Troy Christian Church

 

Miss Ethel Groce will be a guest speaker at the morning worship service at the First Christian Church of Troy, Missouri on Sunday, May 17, 1970.

Miss Groce recently returned from Hong Kong, China as a missionary serving under International Missions, Inc.  She formerly served under Oriental Boat Mission which is now a part of International Mission.  She is looking forward to returning to the work in Hong Kong during August 1970.  

Miss Groce is presently engaged in evangelistic and educational work and is responsible for the administration of four schools in Hong Kong with a total enrollment of two thousand students.  

Miss Groce was born in Lincoln County and attended Buchanan High School at Troy.  She had missionary training at Moody Bible School Institute, Chicago, and nurses training at Presbyterian Hospital, also in Chicago.  She went to China the first time in 1938.  Since the Communist occupation of that country in 1949 she has served in Hong Kong.  She is presently on furlough and will return in August for the sixth term of service in Hong Kong.  

The public and friends of Miss Ethel Groce are invited to attend the worship service and hear her inspirational message.
