Prince Andrew was serving aboard HMS Edinburgh at the time and there was a news report that the prince had been spotted dining with fellow officers at the former American Restaurant in Wanchai. Where the party went afterwards is not recorded and one can only surmise that they returned to their ship for a mug of cocoa and an early night.
