"During the afternoon the Kai Tak Aerodrome was struck by the full velocity of the wind. Matsheds were blown down and stripped of their roofs, and although the aeroplanes were carefully watched and protected, several of them were damaged. Of about 20 machines in the sheds, 6 were put out out of action temporarily......"
