Michael Alderton (essarem) notes that the above is a U.S. newspaper image of Brig-Gen Morris A. ‘Two-Gun’ Cohen marching ahead of the casket at the May 1929 Beijing funeral procession for Doctor Sun Yat-sen: He looks like the real thing. Short, thick-set, with dogged mouth and chin, and a sharp restless eye. His expression is genial but can harden into fighting lines in a flash. He speaks with authority and like a commander, but has little to say about himself.
