Forbes Street, poultry wholesalers ('Laan')
The pig depot parallel on its left side (not shown; where some wooden cage is seen) may have been deserted for some time when the photo was taken in 1974. The well-known stone wall (retaining wall) is also along there, it could not be seen from this angle.
No more slaughters by then and as shown in another photo of this series, the higher part near Sai Wan Estate has been built as a football pitch. The tall chimney remains still existed for quite some time after, at its corner.
