Tim Runnacles obituary The Times 2022

The late Timothy Runnacles formerly Principal Transport Officer (Urban Transport Operations) with the HK Government sadly died in 2022. Highly qualified in his field, Tim was a transport enthusiast with a wealth of anecdotes on transport operations in Hong Kong.

From 1978 until 1993 he worked for Hong Kong government’s transport department, becoming Principal Transport Officer (Urban Transport Operations) in 1989. During his time with the department he was responsible for much of the planning of the Tuen Mun light rail system.
