Description: Petty Officer J Wright-Brown of Haywards Heath, Sussex, on special draft taking passage in HMS EURYALUS to Hong Kong to look for his wife, last seen in October 1939, and his daughter whom he has never seen. His father-in-law Captain J T Thirwell, Merchant Navy, took the last ship of evacuees out of Hong Kong. His ship was sunk and there were no survivors.
