In the early days, there were five staff members on KMB buses: the driver, three conductors and a gate operator. In 1964, due to the popularity of automatic doors, the gatekeepers were gradually replaced; since 1970, the three conductors were merged into one, sitting in a fixed position at the front of the car, and it was stipulated that passengers should get on the bus at the front door and get off at the back door. In order for passengers to recognize this new model, the front of the bus and the front of the bus body would be painted with three orange-yellow lines, commonly known as "three strokes of yellow". After 1973, even the conductor was canceled, and replaced by a coin box.
