The road under repair is queen victoria street. It is the Des Voeux central road-victoria street junction. One can see the sign of Dr Low (勞英群). According to 1960 年香港年鑑, Dr Low's address was 81 des vouex central 2nd fl.
There was also piano shop Law Jim (羅占記) at 77 des vouex central according again to 1960 年香港年鑑..
If one looks carefully, one can see the tram tracks too.
Good find as I was struggling to match the previous location mentioned. A photo below of the junction showing the signboards on both sides of Queen Victoria Street and Des Voeux Road Central.
Pawn shop 德榮大押 at 72 Des Voeux Road Central in 1960 年香港年鑑 can be seen in the second picture.
Google map 2023 shows it is still there with the classic ke lau building style (騎樓) surrounded by other modern buildings.
