The Japanese prepared index cards for all the Prisoners of War and when the war ended, these index cards were seized and stored at the National Archives in London, England.
In 2016, when I visited London, I visited the National Archives and found my father's POW index card. The reverse of the card provides details of his incarceration as a POW. The English translations of the Japanese entries are highlighted in red.
