When tung wah group li chi ho primary school was built in 1958, , Morrison Hill was still a hill. Instead of removing the rock, they built the school around and over it. The only historical monument to remind posterity there was once a hill there.

If one goes down the steps between this school and Saint Joseph Primary School and turn right to look at the backside of the school, you can see some remnants of the rocks of Morrison hill. In the 1920s, the Morrison hill was used for the reclamation of Wanchai. They later found out not all of the hill was soil. It contained a lot of rocks too. They finally gave up and went to Kowloon hills for soil to finish the reclamation. All the rocks were removed in the 1960s. The only rocks left were behind the school.

At the time the school was built, there were rocks within the land granted by the government. The architect had to build the cement support beams around and over the rocks. It was then impossible to remove them without affecting the building itself.
