One can see what looks like bottles of Vitasoy (维他奶) made of soybean - a popular drink after the war as a replacement for milk which was a luxury at that time. Some stores kept the bottles in a warmer and sold them as "warm vitasoy". Most schools forbid the sale of soda in schools and it was the only drink allowed.
