Thank you for that Rob. With the linear trench and shelter to the side it looks different to the standard one used in the UK. Looks like yet another basic design. I have not seen this one before. Will pull the TNA stuff and have a look. You mention other disappearing lights, do you know where these were located in HK. Maybe something in the RE Museum records, have you checked?
Don't know of any other similar, or variations, in HK. The predominant type of DEL in HK since around 1900 has been the open-fronted type found in most of the colonies. I have checked the RE records, but on a different subject, so can't help there.
