I've had a fond memory of Chai Wan Resettlement Estate, Block "26." We lived there from 1961 to August 1966.

Here is an excerpt from my Kindle edition ebook,  "Learn to Succeed: A Lifelong Learner's Memoir" published on 28 September 2021. See the following link:

"In 1961, we moved to Chai Wan Resettlement Estate, Block “26.” Our living unit “622” was on the 6th floor (at the top corner of the building).

Old residence in Chai Wan Resettlement Estate

I was taking “going to school” very seriously. When I was in the 4th grade, my teacher punished me for not reciting one of the paragraphs well. Being nervous by standing up, my stuttering got worse to the point I could not utter a single word. I struggled through the class and threatened to jump off our living unit on the 6th floor. My parents were so concerned that they talked to my teacher to give me a break. I studied hard since that incidence and was ranked in the top three in 5th and 6th grades. I graduated from Fortress Hill Government Primary AM School in 1964."
