Thanks for posting the photo! It brings back so much fond memories. During 1957-1958 I was living at the Ground Floor of 24 MacDonnell Road which was a newly completed four-storey building on the south side of MacDonnell Road directly to the west side of the Peak Tram track. I used to walk our dog daily along those very steps leading up to Bowen Road. The old Estoril Court groups of high-rises were then being built near the top of the steps. Thank you again!
Thanks so much for your comments. My family lived in one of the flats in MacDonnell Road while my Dad was posted to the Hong Kong Dockyard for two years, 1957-59. I was only 3 when we arrived and now have no direct family to help me piece my few memories together. I so have relied on the kindness of the people who visit this website to help me. It sounds like we were neighbours!
